TRANSMISSION
FLUID SERVICE

When is transmission fluid service due?

The correct service interval depends on your vehicle, transmission type, driving conditions and manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Harrell’s Tire & Auto Service helps drivers in Fayetteville, Cameron and Southern Pines review those requirements and their service history before recommending fluid maintenance.

Use the right fluid and service method

Automatic, manual, CVT and dual-clutch transmissions can require different fluids and procedures. A flush is not the right default for every vehicle. Ask which fluid specification and manufacturer-supported service method apply to your transmission, and whether a filter or other related maintenance is required.

Discuss shifting concerns before service

Tell the shop about leaks, warning lights, slipping, unusual noises or changes in shifting. These concerns may need diagnosis; a fluid change alone may not resolve an existing fault. Contact your preferred Harrell’s shop with your vehicle details and service records to plan the next step.
